My LO went through a similar phase at around 9 months. I can't remember how long it lasted (maybe a couple of weeks, max?) but it was definitely just a phase!

DS would go through spurts like that as well where he would hardly drink his formula for a few days at a time. every time he would either be teething, had an ear infection/sick or we were trying to give formula too close to eating solids. usually after a few days he'd go back to mowing down his bottles

Is E teething? D will chill out on the bottle for a few days if her gums are hurting...

We struggled getting her to drink formula from that age as well. She was just not super interested in stopping to eat.

My daughter definitely got less interested in her formula from 9-12 months. Our pediatrician definitely still wanted us to offer bottles of formula on her normal baby schedule throughout the day until 1 year, but honestly it was kind of a relief when we hit 1 year and could back off. Right at 1 year I switched over to just offering DD a sippy cup of cows milk with each meal and snack. She was more than ready for it. We kept up with her nighttime bottle for a few extra weeks but also ultimately dropped it without any drama.

I started my youngest on formula when I was weaning him off BM around 13 months and at one point he was leaving 2-4 oz. Then I noticed when he did that he was really distracted by his older brother and wanted to play too. So now I feed him important bottles (morning and night) in his room in peace. And I've decreased his two bottles by 2 ounces during the day time since he's a good eater. He takes 1 or 2 8 oz. bottles and 2 or 3 6 oz. bottles a day depending on how hungry I think he is (for a total of 4 times a day). He's kind of a chubster so can probably drop one bottle soon. :P

Dd goes through phases where she drinks very little formula. Doctor says to have between 18-24 oz/day, but some days we barely make 18. She is still gaining and growing so I don't worry about it. My mom says it's because she is more and more interested in food (and of course whatever new skill she's working on!)

E will be 9 months old tomorrow and he's been steadily decreasing the amount of formula he'll drink. He's been FF since 3 months old with no problems. He's now eating 3 meals of solids per day and he loves eating anything that he's tried! Yesterday he'd only drink a couple of ounces of formula here and there throughout the day but I was still able to get him to drink almost 20 ounces. Today he has drank no more than 4 ounces at a time and that was his early morning bottle so he was half asleep. He has only had 12 ounces total today.

What do I do? If you've experienced this was it just a phase?
