I had BBB and Target. Didn't do any duplicates... Basically added target for people that didn't have a BBB nearby, it worked well!

I haven't had any issues with returns at Target - they have been super easy actually. No receipt returns = store credit which is usually fine with me!

We had 3, but really only one (BBB) and two minor ones at BRU and Target. There is only one Bed Bath and Beyond in our are that has a baby department (it has a ByeByeBaby inside, no separate store nearby) so we had the other two for people out of the area or who didn't want to shop there. People got us what they wanted anyway...a lot that was not on any registery and we did a lot of returning but had no problems returning to any of the stored.

ETA: the only thing duplicated on the registries was my breast pump which I didn't think anyone would actually buy. Per my mom's recommendation my grandma got it from BBB. It crapped out on me shortly after starting to use it and they let me exchange it for a PISA due to a manufacturing defect. Awesome customer service.

I had 2 registries, amazon and bbb. I did not duplicate it since I didn't want 2 of things that I didn't want 2 of things of.... I put the cheaper product on the registry.

Actually, you can register at as many places as you want with BabyList. Have you heard of them? The site works just like Pinterest except after you're done creating your registry, you send your family and friends a link and they reserve what they will purchase for you. :)

I have two, and registered for the same stuff. I did end up getting two high chairs and monitors cause they went to to different stores for the same shower. But it was helpful to have both as the stores were each in sides of town that people lived. After my first shower,I just marked items as bought at one store.

I would have two registries, it's always nice to have options especially if one store is far for people.

I wouldn't put duplicates on there though, then you'll be dealing with a lot of returning things, something that you don't want to have to deal with right before the baby comes. You're already going to have to be doing lots of sorting, organizing, etc, so try not to add any more extra work then you have to. I would just go through each store and see what you like best, maybe look for better prices.

I didn't put toys on there or cute dresses, but I did put things like plain white onesies, sleep sacks, swaddles, mittens, stuff like you mentioned that I was worried people wouldn't buy me on their own.

Thanks! Good to know about Targets return policy. I haven't had a chance to look into that yet

I only had one registry since Target and BRU are next to each other in my town. It wouldn't add any convenience to have two. I've received lots of invitations that listed multiple registries though. If you think it would be helpful to your guests, I'd do two. I don't really see any harm in having two! Target isn't great with returns (you have to have the receipt, otherwise there is a price limit), so I would only put things on there that you wouldn't want to return (diapers, wipes, formula, bottles, blankets, etc.).

I registered for SwaddleMe's (which I love) and A&A blankets, but no clothes. Honestly, people will give you clothes and toys whether you register for them or not. Even if you register for them, people will pick out things they like. I wouldn't bother registering for that stuff!

I've been going back and forth about how many baby registries to have. Right now I have all my items at BuyBuy Baby. I am debating if I should add Target as well.

We are having 2 showers and for one group BBB is a bit further of a drive so I thought Target might be more convenient for them.

If I do have two registries, how do you manage them? We really want to get as much of the "need to have" items as possible. Do I put duplicates of those on both registries? My mom is going to be taking care of our LO when I go back to work so even if we got lucky enough to have 2 of certain items it might be nice. Otherwise we can exchange for another item we need.

Also, did you register for toys and clothes? I was going to put swaddling blankets/sleep sacks on for ure but don't know if I should add onesies/mittens/socks/pajamas, etc.

Thanks!
