In Stride Rite Soft Motion my almost 11 month old is measuring at a 4 so I got a 4.5 so he has a bit of room to grow.

We just got a great pair of Livie and Lucas which are soft soled, but have a bit of rubber tread so that LM can practice standing up. They're great since LM also curls her toes and makes it hard to put on shoes. We also have Zutano fleece booties which are very easy to get on and warm!

The first pairs I bought were the Robeez slip on type shoes, those were sized 6-12 months. When he started standing and needed something with some grip on the bottom I bought some Robeez minishoes, sized 4. I just brought him to get measured and he's now in a 5.5 at 1 year.

@Thehistoryofus: The pair I bought LO were 6-12mos. Haven't gotten sized shoes yet. We're going to a party tomorrow so she's going to wear her fur boots for the first time! She'll probably only wear them once or twice before she grows out of them :P

What size were your LOs shoes when you first started? I'm wanting to start looking for some deals on shoes but don't know what size she may be in 6 months or so. I know right now she's like a 1.5. The size 2 baby Gap shoes are still big even with socks and she's almost 5 months old.

I brought my LO to the shoe store to get measured for some new shoes and I asked the guy what to do about the toe curling. He said that the feet will relax when they stand, which it did. I started shoes when he was standing, at about 9 months. He's full on walking at 12 months, so he's in Stride Rite or Robeez mini shoes most of the day.

I bought a pair of cute fur boots for my 8 month old, but she curls her toes when I try to put them on her and the boots won't stay on. -.-

I probably won't put shoes on her until she starts walking.

When did you start putting shoes on your LO?
