We really didn't do shoes until she was starting to walk at a year. We got some cute shoes for Christmas (she was about 4.5 months at that time). She wore them, but we found that with socks and shoes her feet were sweaty. Her shoes stunk within a week. We went back to wearing just socks for the rest of the winter. Both socks and shoes she would not consistently keep on her feet at that age.

We got some at a consignment shop that have a soft sole. I figured at this age their feet grow so fast and they aren't even walking so whoever had them before didn't put much wear on them.

First we went to stride rite to get her fitted..... and they were $40. I couldn't see spending that much for shoes that will last a month. I spent $4.99

I second Pedipeds, Robeez also has "Mini Shoez" that look like real shoes but are not stiff at all.

My understanding is that before they can walk and even for quite awhile after they learn you want as soft a sole as possible because it really helps them grip and develop their foot muscles properly.

At that age for sure pedi peds. Even with my little one walking now she wears those all the time because they are so easy to slip on and off. It's just leather so it's super flexible and soft

As the weather is cooling down, im realizing i need to get some cute little kicks to cover my 4.5 month old daughters feet. We did mostly bare feet all summer, and sometimes socks, but its time for shoes. Any recommendations on good pre-walker baby girl shoes?
