I moved to a location and while I have friends here I didn't want any kind of shower. People sent gifts after the baby was born, which was more than enough. We socialize with each other four hours a year, tops.) Neither of us have a lot of local female friends. It didn't even occur to me that she'd WANT a baby shower until I was pregnant and my husband asked about us having one. I've asked her if she wants one, provided we're both still here in a few months. </p> <p>If you were in the situation where there wasn't really anyone locally that you socialized with regularly, would you want a baby shower? </p>
