There was someone I didn't know before at my shower- someone brought her boyfriend. I met a friend for the first time at her shower because she had just moved here and my husband was good friends with her husband's brother. It wasnt even coed nor did I know but 2 other people there. But they're close friends now and it was nice for her to make a lot of friends that day and meet new people in a strange town. DH has been to their house a few times, but they live 45 minutes away so i've never met them. i'm appreciative that he hooked DH with his new position &amp; they seem nice &amp; could possibly be nice couple friends someday, but i feel weird meeting them at their baby shower. </p> <p>do you think i have to go? can i just send DH with a gift to give him at school? have you ever been to a baby shower for someone you've never met? </p>
