i heard it's okay to put stuff for your babies up to 2 years old. so keep adding! also, most places offer completion discounts.

@runsyellowlites: I agree with you! People should buy off the registry, that's why it's there! Although I didn't mind as much because we did need clothes, and I haven't had to buy any yet :)

@artbee: UGH... people make me so mad! grrrr. Hopefully we'll get the things we need, given that was a big selling point of us going team green. lol I'm pretty sure alot of DH's family will totally disregard it though. pfft

sidenote: forgive the hormonalness it's been a rough couple of days. lol

@runsyellowlites: Honestly then, I don't think it matters if you put more on or not. For my shower I had tons on the registry and people still just bought what they wanted. Even with being team green, I bet people will do that for you too.

@artbee: There is a 7 years gap between DS and this LO and it's DH's first. It will be a bigger shower then I want, considering DH's family size. lol. Plus I lived in a completely different city when I had DS and have a whole new circle of friends... it's pretty much like a "1st" for me to all my friends since they didn't even know me when I had DS.

Are you having a big shower? Usually they are smaller for the second baby so you wouldn't need as much stuff on there.

@chopsuey119: After looking at my diaper registry breakdown I feel alot better that there's enough to choose from... AND we'll hopefully be more likely to get our diapers!

@LivsMama: I have alot of that stuff on there too! Even the baby wash we want (since we aren't using J&J)... and we're team green so I don't think we'd get too many clothes since most are gender specific. I hope we don't get too many double things b/c Target is a PAIN to do multiple returns for! I'll probably make note and add gift cards as things that can be gotten & appreciated so that we can clothe our lo once they get here. =)

I guess it just feels weird since the first go round it was like I "needed" EVERYTHING and had a huge registry. lol

we had a similar issue...but be careful with not adding more. People tend to not go the gift card route and will just buy you clothes or things they think are cute.

In hindsight, what I wish we'd done is add more things on there for when Liv was older. Shes 4.5 months now and we're getting into the time where we need to buy sippy cups, plates, placemats, spoons, mesh teether, etc. Id suggest adding those things on there.

Also add bath towels and bath toys, washcloths, and necessities like infant tylenol, gripe water, infant q-tips, Mylicon/gas drops, diaper cream, etc. Its all stuff that we would have forgotten to buy had my SIL not given us a "necessities" gift basket.

Other suggestions, a nightlight or Twilight Turtle (Liv LOVES hers,) a sound machine, a sleep sheep....

when in doubt-add STUFF. You can always return it for store credit and use it after LO is born.

Let me go take a look at my registry to see what else I have on there

I didn't have many items on my list either! It's ok. maybe people will buy everything and then get you gift cards! :)

So after looking online & in the store for the last week I only have 28 things on my Target registry! I know that being gender neutral this go round means that I register for alot more of our "needed" things than anything else and this being baby #2 I know there are alot of things I just don't "need", but I still feel like I don't have enough things! Oh and this includes things like furniture and big ticket items as well.

I guess if you include our diaper registry then there's enough things but it still feels weird.

Anyone else in the same boat with their local registry?
