Now, at 15 (almost 16 months) he's doing it again!! Especially in the car and the kitchen, where his voice reeeeeally echoes, so that's nice.</p> <p>For stuff like this, I try to just remember "this too shall pass." There's nothing I can do about it, at least nothing I've figured out. LO is nearly five months old and she loves to screech! Not distressed, not upset, just 'singing' as we call it. It drives me absolutely insane - especially when she 'sings' to herself in her cot at 4:00 in the morning and wakes up her 2 year old sister. She always takes a second to catch her breath then let it all out and then do it all over again. She's not upset and doesn't cry after, she's just testing her voice. 'help, mama'" he's has started pointing and going "uhh, mama" or "ahh, mama" or some variation... Probably about half the time. Our screeching phase is ongoing still and it's definitely been over a month. We just keep trying to shush them, but it's sooooo annoying. It's made worse by the fact that they apparently extra love the sound a screech makes in the car, so that's how the now entertain themselves on all car trips.
