With Maisie it was about 6 weeks. We're in a really great routine right now with 3 naps and 1 nighttime wake up!

Wagon Jr. was a very sleepy baby as well. Our first few months with him were basically feeding, putting to bed, and very short stints of playing in between (maybe about 15-30 min). And by "playing" I mean me playing and him just kind of looking at me. Sometimes. Enjoy the sleep and I hope it means he becomes a good sleeper like Wagon Jr. is now!!

She was hungrier and was really, really, really cranky. WAY more than normal. Some babies sleep constantly through growth spurts though.

There was also the fact that she immediately grew out of some of her 0-3 sleepers and onesies. lol

How can you tell when they are going through a growth, is it when they are hungrier than usual?

LO is 7 weeks and I would say after her 6 week growth spurt (which hit at 5 weeks) is when she started being more alert. She has plenty of "quiet alert time" now and she has started to track people and objects with her eyes. She has become very curious and is always whipping her head around trying to see everything that is going on. lol. My nosy little girl.

She does still sleep a lot and can only be awake a max of 2 hours without getting really cranky but her awake time has increased dramatically.

My baby will be 5 weeks old tomorrow but she still sleeps just as much as she did as a newborn, after nursing she is always sleepy and if i dont put her to sleep she gets cranky. At what age do babies stay awake longer and show more interest in playing
