My mom said I used to do that all the time and she'd tap my face and my eyes would slam shut!

My LO does this a lot...his eyes will be open a bit, or sometimes he opens them all the way and then closes them again and stays asleep the whole time. It's freaky!

Is it possible for babies to sleep with their eyes open?

My almost eight week old LO is down for a nap and when I checked on her her eyes were a wee bit open but she didn't appear to be awake! She was gently wriggling and wasnt distressed in any way, but I'd hate to think of her lying there feeling lonely and neglected because we do put her down awake for naps.

And fwiw my dog can sleep with his eyes open...
