I would make sure to put her down for a nap before she gets overtired. At that age, it is a maximum of 1 1/2 hours of awake time or less. Sleep begets sleep!

Also try reading healthy sleep habits happy child - just the haters that pertain to you for now. There are some good tips in it, including that a consistent early bedtime helps baby sttn.

Ugh! Sorry! I would implement a strict bed time routine (bath, swaddle, white noise, nurse, crib) and bedtime and try to stick to it as much as possible. It may take awhile to stick but after repetition she will come to understand bed time. During the day, try to aoothe her to sleep within 1-2 hours of waking. My Lo coild onky be awake 1:30 at that point. also he did not nap more than 30 mins at a time from 4-6 months and eventually just started napping longer.

My 11 week old gets exhausted but rarely naps. In fact right now it's 10:30 pm and she's been up since 3 pm either breastfeeding or with her fingers in her mouth. Before that she took 3 45 minute naps today. She usually doesnt go to bed before 12, though I do everything I can to put her down before then. Last night for the first time she went down at 7 pm and then just woke up a few timed to feed and went right back to bed. It was heaven. How can I get that again? For her sake and mine, because she's exhausted and won't go down even when I rock her for a long time in a dark room.
Thanks!
