Also try expressing a bit into a towel until your letdown subsides a bit ... I was surprised at how forcefully I could spray.

I agree with PPs that it sounds like a strong letdown. Try to pump before hand. Hope that works. Poor baby!

Try pumping for a minute or two before you nurse - that will help if it's a letdown issue.

This happened to me just one time of serious projectile vomit in the middle of a feed. I think my letdown was too strong and that LO was very hungry and was gulping and gulping. It must have been too much because she started coughing so I lifted her to burp her and that's when it happened.

My LO has been throwing up(projectile) during and after some breast feeding sessions. I burp her a few times during the feeding and always keep her in an upright position afterwards. This doesn't happen when I feed her pumped breastmilk....does anyone have anyone have any experience with this? I usually feed her on one breast for about 15-20 minutes or until she wants to stop. Could my letdown be too strong or is she eating too much?

:-(
