I use the Chicco Keyfit 30 with a Baby Trend Snap and Go. It doesn't click in but it fits in snugly. I have never used the strap with it. I only use it for errands though, so I was never worried about the carseat falling out of it. It would have to be one heck of a jostle to dislodge it.

@sorrycharlie: oh, i suppose there are weight limits on everything but you will definitely get your money's worth for $25!! (assuming it works fine with your car seat)

@Andrea: ohh good to know! someone said to me recently that there's a weight limit on those frames & the stroller adapters so I shouldn't expect to use it long. but I feel like they wouldn't sell it if you couldn't use it to the full extent of the limitations of the car seat as well? so many things that you never think you'll have to worry about, sheesh!

@sorrycharlie: haha. well no, the baby wouldn't fall out of the car seat if she was buckled in. but if the car seat were to fall forward, you could bang her head or something! but we even took the baby trend on LONG walks because we did not buy a bassinet stroller so that was our stroller for the first 6 months. we used the heck outta that thing!

@andrea oh awesome! good to know!

I almost feel like if the baby seat falls off, yes baby will be hurt - but if the baby is 'clicked on' and the entire frame tips, baby is still hurt.

not that I want baby hurt at all - hope that made sense without sounding horrible! having serious vocab issues lately. but moral of the story is that I don't plan on rough housing with the frame (no long walks - mainly for errands) so it should be okay right?

@sorrycharlie: @LAGS: i had a graco snugride that i used with the baby trend snap n go. i never used the strap!! the car seat wasn't going anywhere once you heard the "click". i didn't see the point of the strap.

Oh for $25 I would totally go for it. That's a great find! Even if you decide you don't like it... you'd probably get your $ back by re-selling.

The strap would be in the way, but seriously... its a strap. It can be undone, you're undoing harnesses etc. anyways but maybe I'm just extra laid back? I just can't see it becoming that much of a nuisance.

oh awesome! i found one on craigslist for $25, so I was debating grabbing it, but I wasn't sure how the seat would fit. the reviews on BRU said the strap can get annoying with getting baby in/out but didn't seem that cumbersome to me (then again, i don't have either product or baby yet!)

BTW, the Snap N Go frame was on super sale recently. I think because it's being replaced by a newer model, but I got it for under $50.

I have a Chicco Keyfit 30 and the Babytrend Snap n Go. It fits, it just doesn't 'click' in say like a Snugrude would to the Snugride specific frame.

It seems really sturdy on the frame on its own, but there's a strap to literally attach it to the frame for a little extra reassurance. I have no baby yet, but FWIW I'm happy with the set up so far!

does anyone use this with the Chicco Keyfit 30?

we are being given someone's Chicco infant car seat, but registered for the City Mini stroller. I don't want to register for the car seat adapter because I've read it's a pain in the behind to use.

thought about putting the baby trend stroller frame on the registry - but does anyone use this with the Chicco seat? does it work okay? I'm going to go play at BRU soon to see but just wanted to check with others!
