It doesn't click in but it fits in snugly. I have never used the strap with it. I only use it for errands though, so I was never worried about the carseat falling out of it. It fits, it just doesn't 'click' in say like a Snugrude would to the Snugride specific frame. </p> <p>It seems really sturdy on the frame on its own, but there's a strap to literally attach it to the frame for a little extra reassurance. I don't want to register for the car seat adapter because I've read it's a pain in the behind to use.</p> <p>thought about putting the baby trend stroller frame on the registry - but does anyone use this with the Chicco seat? does it work okay? I'm going to go play at BRU soon to see but just wanted to check with others! </p>
