<description>&#60;p&#62;@Jellyfish:  I did read that it could possibly be due to iron deficiency or if the mom is vegan then you'd need the b12. But it doesn't seem like he really explained why. I wonder if you could call the office to see why he recommended it - if there were any concerns or if it's a general recommendation he gives at this time?

<description>&#60;p&#62;I think it's a bit odd to give a multivitamin at that young of an age. We only gave LO vitamin d drops (D-drops) and still haven't given her a multivitamin (and she's almost 2).

<description>&#60;p&#62;Just got back from our 6 month dr appointment and the dr gave LO a prescription for multivitamin - (polyviflor or something like that?) I feel like I haven't heard many bees give their babies vitamins (other than vit D maybe) and was wondering whether it is unusual to need a multivitamin so young? He is breastfed and supplemented with formula. Anyone else give their LO a multivitamin? which one?
