It was a little too big when I bought it for LO, I think minimum weight was 25 lbs and she was 20 when I bought it but still fit it well. It is definitely not the best carrier for bigger kids because the knees end up too low. But since I know we are carrying for much longer, I bought a Tula Toddler. </p> <p>I have also found that the Ergo is slightly more comfortable to carry bigger kids because I could front carry my niece and nephew as toddlers which I couldn't do with my Gemini. I have to back carry him now.</p> <p>So it depends on how long you will be carrying. We are moving and will be walking a lot more so I needed a better carrier. My LO is almost 13 month. She's still pretty tiny (about 20lbs.), but I want to start wearing her again in the warmer months, especially since we have some trips coming up this summer. I have loved my Beco Gemini, but I am wondering if it will work as she grows. Does anyone use a Gemini for their toddler? Did you buy another carrier as they got older (and heavier)?</p> <p>Also I'd like to start back carrying. I was going to ask for good resources about figuring out back carrying (I'm kind of a dunce when it comes to these things), but I'm assuming it's based on the carrier, right? </p> <p>Any insight would be helpful.
