I think a back carry with a mei tai or woven wrap would be best. You can tie them above the bump. You don't want something stretchy. The more support the better.

My doula wears her 3year old on her back in an ergo right now and she is PG with #2. I'm going to a babywearing workshop on Wednesday, I'll ask the expert and report back :)

I would assume youd have to use some kind of sling because a carrier would have the waist strap, which wouldnt be good. I wouldnsay maybe a hotsling or a ring sling?

I've been wondering this too! Well, more specifically, should I be trying out carriers now, before I have a big bump in the way, for #1? Seems like a back carry would be the only option but it seems hard to get it on alone.

I'll bump for you! I'm curious how this would work...I guess you'd have to do a back carry! I've been practicing with our Moby for when LO is born and it doesn't really work with a baby bump, not that you would use that with your 1-yr-old anyway. The Ergo might work if you could put the waist strap under your bump?

Has anyone done this? What kind of carrier did you use and position did you use? How old was your LO and how much did they weigh?

I'm 23 weeks and my LO is 1 and weighs 21 lbs. I don't always want to use a stroller but carrying her in my arms wears me out fast.
