I wore my LO all the time at that age in the Moby. You might want to think about getting another structured carrier for you if you're going to be wearing all day. DH and I find it to be a PITA to switch off using the ergo because we have to size adjust it every time. Ergo has been an absolute lifesaver for airport, plane, walking around. I also brought baby ktan bc she sleeps better in there, but haven't used it yet. For Venice I think you'll be good with just the ergo. The Ergo doesn't have that issue and is still comfortable to wear with my 23 mo old 28 lber for extended periods!
