@abbylyn: oh man. i've been there!! LO's sleep got way better at 5.5 months so hopefully there is an end in sight. it was best for us if we stopped fighting and left in the car or stroller for a while (even though he still didn't usually nap).

I nap trained at 4 months but still occasionally got to that "end of the rope" stage. That's when I instituted "snuggle naps"...we'd curl up together on the couch and give each other a break :-) It actually became our Friday afternoon tradition, because I was usually so DONE by that point. Hugs!

I gave in today and have been sitting in the glider for the last 3 hrs with LO on my lap.

Sorry, not much help, just know you are not alone.

Will she sleep in a carrier? At that age if my baby wouldn't nap and was overtired I would put her in the Ergo and go on a nice long walk. Sometimes it was the only way to calm her down enough to sleep. Hang in there!

I'm at the end of my rope. I've spent the last 2.5 hours trying to get my 4.5 month old to go down for a nap (that's probably only going to last 30 minutes). Every time I put her down, she wakes up, and she's not falling asleep on her own yet. She's fought me on every nap and bedtime all week, and some of her night wakings as well. I've tried leaving her to cry for 5-10 minutes, but that's not doing anything either. Mamas, I need help. Please give me advice.
