We got through it. It's not fun but hang in there, be patient and that survival instinct will set in. Took us a week or two with little advances every day.

Mine went from not wanting a bottle at all (3 months) to not wanting my breasts at all (on and off since 5-ish months, then rejected my boobs for good at 8.5 months).

Our LO refused a bottle for her first two weeks of daycare! She started daycare at 6 months and we had been trying bottles since she was 12 weeks old. Eventually she caved and started taking the bottles. We also tried a few different kinds of bottles, and had the most success with Playtex Drop-Ins.

we struggled with this too. we introduced a bottle at 3-4 weeks and she took it just fine up until 6 weeks and then began rejecting it. unfortunately the only thing that worked is when i went back to work and she had to take a bottle to eat. babies won't starve themselves forever. the first day, she only drank 6 oz while i was away for 10 hours. it was rough. the next day was better and the next was even better. if we had known that only a bottle standoff would fix the problem, we wouldn't have tried so hard to give her a bottle before i went back to work!

she liked lansinoh momma bottles better than any other kind. we tried tommie tippee, breastflow and MAM. she still won't drink from any other bottle.

My lo went on a bottle strike at 7 month old. I switched to momma bottle with softer nipples and he took it fine.

is there anyone else who could help you? as in, that person could give her the bottle while you are in a different room/away so that she can't smell/sense you?

in addition to mrs. jacks' post, there's this one also if you haven't seen it yet:

Oh my, I don't have much advice besides maybe trying a sippy with a straw-my girls always thought that was fun! I hope you get it figured out, it sounds like you really deserve a break!

Hi all!

Anyone have babies that wouldn't take a bottle at some point? My silly bean is 15 weeks old and will not take a bottle at all. She likes to gum it and push the nipple out with her mouth. Every now and again she'll take one suck but that's it. I've also tried cup feeding her and using a sippy cup unsuccessfully. She took a bottle when she was a week old when we were having breastfeeding issues, but once that got cleared up I didn't think to give her one for a few weeks. I have now been trying to get her to take a bottle for 10 weeks now! My husband is deployed so it's just me at home... desperate to be able to give her a bottle and get a little break every once in awhile.

Any of you all go through this? Have any tips? :)
