I'm going to aim for 1/2" x 5 1/4" which will work nice because letter size is 8 1/2" wide. The buckles I'm going with 3/4" x 7/8" with 1/8" buckles. I might try to create the buckle pattern in autocad and see if I can print onto construction paper!
