I think my challenges in the first month or so was being so tired and just having to reach down in my sleep and return the baby after nursing. Some people don't mind this or get up to make bottles anyway. So I really did like from month 1-5 and then we switched to a crib. Looking back and knowing that our crib cost $300+ I feel like the bassinet was a lot of money for a short amount of use. I bought it but ended up returning it unopened because LO #2 will not have a nursery the first few months so I really need something with storage underneath. We only used it until 5 months so I would factor that into your decision too.
