It's in a great location, with absolutely BEAUTIFUL grounds and it's right on the west coast. They treat each person like royalty there and it was really nice to be spoiled. (The last place we stayed was Hacienda Encantada, and it was too far from town - everything was at least a 20 minute cab ride away)</p> <p>There are only two downsides...<br /> 1. You can't swim in the ocean there (because of the current), but there are quite a few pools that you can go to.<br /> 2. We were out and on our feet for 8-10 hours a day and even took a ten hour overnight train ride from Basel to Berlin. Both of us have always wanted to visit Europe and with the surprise pregnancy (we weren't trying but also weren't not trying), we figured it's good time as any since it would be hard to do that trip until LO was much older if we waited. I was nervous that I would be tired or couldn't explore much, but I was a ball if energy! We were on our feet exploring all the different cities for a least ten hours every day and an so glad we went. I was 21 weeks pregnant and my bump was just getting noticeable.</p> <p>If you do go on a trip with a long flight, I highly recommend compression knee socks. I put them on during the plain rides and it kept my feet from swelling and kept blood from pooling (preggos have higher risk of blood clots I think).
