@LaughLines: I don’t have any Burlington recommendations, but if you’re driving up there through VT you should stop at Simon Pearce in Quechee! Beautiful blown glass and pottery. Restaurant is fantastic and overlooks a lovely little waterfall and classic New England covered bridge. BEAUTIFUL in fall! You can see the blown glass factory downstairs, lovely grounds.

@youboots: Ross is really into the Portland, Or idea. If we went there and wanted to hike one of the waterfalls would we need to rent a car or are they close enough to uber? I may ask for some tips for restaurants to check out.

Too bad I won't have much of a bump by Oct or you could take some maternity photos. I would love to meet up for lunch or something if we do go there!

If you want foliage, the White Mountains and Lake Winnipesaukee in NH are amazing in the fall. We're actually going to be staying there in a town called North Conway in October. There's a beautiful driving route all around the mountains with the most amazing views. If you want kid friendly there's some hotels with water parks, of it's adults only we like this place in Meredith which has an adult only pool and spa - https://millfalls.com/church-landing/.

Asheville and Nashville are at the top of my current list of must-see places, so they get my vote. Napa is also up there, but I'd save that for when you can actually indulge and enjoy the wine!

I love Colorado in the fall, but really thought the national parks (if you go that route) were even more overrun by tourists in the form of baby boomers in the fall. It's like the boomer time to go on vacation now or something.

Napa Valley would be cool.

We're in New England and went to Bar Harbor, Maine in September for a babymoon. It was great! Quite a few cruise ships were there but it wasn't too crazy.

We're originally from the southern Maine area and Portland is great!

I haven't been there yet but I have Charleston on my list of places to visit. But it might still be warm and I guess hurricane season.
Denver is pretty amazing and has fabulous restaurants. And short-ish drive will take you into the mountains. There's a RitzCarlton in I think Breckenridge. Could do Denver proper for a more city (but still very chill) vibe with amazing restaurants. And then do a night or two in the mountains for something more serene and picturesque.

@LaughLines: we live in New England and I have to say that it's a beautiful place to visit in the fall! Weather is usually still warm enough in Sept/Oct tat you would be comfortable yet able to enjoy cooler weather. I would vote for Boston, Vermont, or Maine.

Depending on where you're coming from, I'd recommend Asheville, NC. It's beautiful in the fall. There are some easy hikes to do while pregnant. The restaurants are incredible, and there is a ton to explore downtown. You could visit the Biltmore and explore the grounds or do a spa treatment at the Grove Park Inn. We'll be there in Sept. too!

We're looking to go on a babymoon this fall. We've had a rough year with miscarriage and infertility and I'm finally pregnant and need to relax/celebrate.

We want to go somewhere this fall that is relaxing but not beachy (zika). Some ideas we had were somewhere in new england for fall foliage and sweater weather, or maybe Portland Oregon. Somewhere with good food.

Any recommendations? We've been to most big cities already and are mostly looking for something quaint, relaxing, with good food, but also not hard to get to from an airport
