@Goldengirl: thank you thank you! I know two days is short but it's hard when you already have a little one! I can't wait! I will definitely be eating a smoked meat sandwich with a cherry coke!

Agreed on the poutine and bagels!!! Old montreal is really nice for a stroll, it has a very european feel to it. There are tons of restaurants in that area too.

Make sure to eat poutine! La Banquise has lots of yummy options but if you just google "best poutine Montreal" I'm sure you'll find lots of debate on that.

I know you said you're not so into big plates of meat, but a smoked meat sandwich from Schwartz's is a must if you've never been. Get it with fries, a pickle, and a cherry coke ;)

Not sure if you'll be there on a Sunday, but if you are, Tam-tams in mount royal park is a lot of fun and a unique Montreal experience. Mount Royal itself is worth seeing and you can get a great view of the city if you go up at night. Google "Parc du Mont-Royal" and you'll see lots of tips on Yelp.

Lots of great shopping on St Laurent, and St. Denis streets.

Old Montreal is beautiful also for walking around/sightseeing/feeling like you're in Europe.

Get a Montreal bagel! Depending where you're staying, drive or take a cab or walk to Fairmount Bagel or St-Viateur Bagel in Mile End and eat one hot out of the oven. Sesame is the way to go!

Lots of good restaurants listed here
http://montreal.eater.com/maps/best-montreal-restaurants-38

2 days is too short, stay longer! :) Also you may have just convinced me to take our babymoon trip to Montreal...

Okay, so you are 26 weeks pregnant, toddler free, and have two days in Montreal with DH!

We don't have any reservations and I think the big named places like Joe Beef are booked up. I can't eat fois gras and I am not that much into huge plates of meat. What should I know about traveling the city pregnant and are there are Canadian bees that can point to things that might be especially nice to do child-free and pregnant?
