We spent two weeks in Florida and Puerto Rico. I am SO glad we took a "conception-moon!". I could have a drink still, and I felt great. We did all kinda of things that aren't pregnancy or baby friendly particularly. We had a blast, and we had extra appreciation for our vacay because we were very aware it would probably be our last kid-free vacation for a while. We got pregnant the next month. If you're going to plan a conception-moon, I highly recommend that you wait to start TTC until that month because I don't think I would enjoy a big trip right now (first trimester) if we had planned a trip and ended up pg before we left. I'm not sure if we'll take a babymoon or not. I m/c a month after, but still, it was a nice trip. Had it planned before we found out we were pregnant, 10ws. We have a mini trip over New Years planned with friends. Guess those will be our babymoons. DH usually goes skiing every Jan or Feb with the guys. I really want him to be able to do that again this year. We went to Italy and France for two weeks! It was amazing and a great place to drink glorious amounts of wine before TTC! Toward the end of the trip we got caught up in the moment and "tried" to baby make. Obviously timing was an issue and we didn't get our baby. We began really trying the next month. We miscarried during our first anniversary vacation (worst experience of my life) last NYE. We planned a makeup anniversary trip for the first weekend in March to Catalina. We ended up conceiving in february and found out we were expecting just a few days before our trip. We're going out of town for labor day weekend, but it will be with my parents (who we get along with) and not a romantic weekend alone. We couldn't justify the financial aspect of taking an expensive beach vacation or anything else.</p> <p>However, my husband has been lucky enough to be invited to two bachelor parties in Vegas this summer. However, we got a BFP as a surprise about 6 months before we were planning on TTC. Therefore, our plans changed a bit. We went on a "forced" babymoon when an OOT wedding got canceled. And we did take a babymoon too. Both weren't too far. The ttcmoon was about 4 hours away to a b&amp;b near a beach, and the babymoon was on the beach where we live.
