If you are taking your LO to a daycare facility, check to see if they have a no-glass policy. Ours did so as stated before I used 1/2c sized rubbermaid containers. DD is going to a sitter who doesn't care so I'll most likely use the little 1/2c ball jars (we bought them for canning but never used them).

@mrsbells how do you fill the green pouches. I saw that Infantino Squeeze Station can fill it with their pouches but if I didnt want to spend $50 on the squeeze station do you just use a funnel?

I used little 1c food storage containers (had lids and already had them on hand) and the rubber tipped metal gerber spoons.

@Bao: yes my baby eats right out of it when we are outside the home. You can also get spoon attachment for it if you want. The plum organics spoon fits on to it.

@Mrsbells: This is probably a dumb question, but those pouches, do LO's just eat right out of that?

We loved the rubbery spoons at that age. I thought they were pointless but they were great. They are kinda flat but that's what you need for newborns.

We just use the take and toss bowls (because they have lids) and I like them. We obviously do not toss them, that would be a waste. We use the munchkin spoons and like those too.

So DH is bring DD to her 4 month doctor appointment and we're hoping to get the okay for solids. Can somewhat sit up on her own, holds her head high, mimic chewing when DH and I are eating.

I'm hoping to make food for her and freeze them. I already ordered Tovolo Perfect Cube Ice Tray. I know we wont be using them for a while.

So if we get the okay, what do we need? I know we needs bowls and spoons but do you have a favorite brand?
