We went to Nordstrom and they measured DS's feet so we would know what size. We bought a pair of Stride Rites and have been very happy with them. They were a little bit more than I would have liked but have been worth it.

I love See Kai Run's Smaller line! They have leather soft sole shoes with two rubber pads for grip and wear. DD wore them until just 2 weeks ago and now she's in See Kai Run sneakers, though I am tempted to buy her next size up in the Smaller line because I like that soft sole shoes promote better walking stride.

I love stride rite. We took DS to the store to get measured and good thing because he was wearing shoes that were too small before.

Another one for Stride Rite. They were able to find a shoe that fit across DS's fat foot! We need to make a return trip soon, he's just about outgrown his first pair (which is pictured in my icon).

Although P is not yet walking, she has a couple pairs. I am a big fan of soft soled robeez, and of their mini shoes. We also went and got her sized at stride rite, but bought her shoes elsewhere. She also has some Smaller by See Kai Run and I like those, too although they are pretty wide and her feet are skinny.

We went to stride rite to get LO sized, but didn't end up buying there. None of the shoes were neutral so I'd have to get multiple pairs in order to have shoes that match all of her outfits. Their feet grow so fast and the shoes are around $40 so I didn't want to spend that much.

We got LO high top Toms and loved them. Since they're high tops they stay on their feet and provide good support, plus they have the soft sole.

My favorite brand for walkers is Pediped and Stride Rite. We also have some SKR, they tend to run wide.

C is just cruising and has been wearing Robeez. They're soft-soled and are sized by month. I She'll probably wear them until she's a confident walker.

What is a good brand of shoes? My almost 1 year old has never worn shoes before but I think its about time I start getting her a pair since she cruises around now. How can I know what size to get her? Do I just guess?
