We have been getting a great deal with our babysitter - we only pay $160 week and she goes above and beyond. In addition to the usual stuff, she gives him a daily bath, does laundry, buys him clothes etc. She also gives us a *free* date night every month and we can have 2 weeks worth of free daycare every year.

We found out that she decided to retire, in about 2 weeks. I'm just at a loss. As it is, 50% of my income is going to daycare and I know we're not likely to find another deal like that. They daycare centers here charge like $250-300 a week for one child. I don't think we can afford for me to stay home, but I'm just wondering at what point it's not worth it to work.
