That's for like a Saturday night sitter. Our sitters are usually $10-12/ hour, typically college students that waitress in my husband's restaurant. Usually they have tons of sitting experience and often are in nursing school as well. We expect them to only watch DD and heat up the dinner that I made. She's basically babysitting while I do other stuff, but since I am physically present in the house, I quickly prep things like meals for her to feed DS or whatever. </p> <p>I usually book her on Saturdays where I have to solo parent. I book her for 3 hour increments so the $13/hr ends up being a flat $40 bucks each time she comes over. Generally I have her come between 8am-11am (after breakfast and before lunch) and she takes him for a long trip to the park and wears him out, gets him his morning snack, and then plays with him inside until its time for her to go. After she leaves, I feed DS lunch, clean up and play for a little bit, and then put him down for nap until 3pm.
