Definitely a learning curve with using it but each time I use it it gets easier for me to do. My biggest tip is to always make sure that there is a layer of clothes between you and the baby. Being Skin to skin generated a TON of heat. You don't need an infant insert and it's made of a mesh material so it's about as good as it gets for warm weather.
