Thanks for all your input! Looks like we'll be getting the Tula.

@babypugs: I didn't mind the Britax when he was younger and facing in, but now that he's older and facing out, he dangles in a way that looks unnatural.

I haven't tried a Tula but I've heard only good things! My DH uses the Ergo most of the time, but he'll use the wrap when it gets here too.

I vote Tula. I love our Beco, but now that DD is older and heavier (20-22 lbs, 14 months), I do find it less comfortable. I don't NEED the Tula, but I think it might be better in your situation.

@mrsbookworm: Just out of curiosity, what don't you like about the Britax? I was eying that one and don't want to get it if it's bad!

So I just got the OK from DH to order a new carrier and get rid of the Britax. It sounds like we should go with the Tula or the Beco. He's 5'9" but a little hefty and I'm 5'5" and also a little on the chunky side  Neither of us is in plus-size territory but we're close enough.

Do you think one would be better than the other? I was looking at the chart that @mrsbird referenced and it looks like the Boba could be a good option too.

I'm hoping this will be the last carrier I buy for a while. It will be the 4th!

I agree about the Tula. They are really comfortable for both the kid and the adult, and there are lots of neutral options that anyone would feel comfortable using. And they are a great option for people who prefer a buckle carrier and aren't into the aesthetics of wraps or don't want to mess with the higher learning curve.

My DH is 6' with broad shoulders and had no problems with our beco gemini. But we stopped baby wearing when LO was around 1 year old and I'm not sure whether the beco can be used with older babies/toddlers.

Thanks for all your help!
@weagle: The Tula looks great! Maybe we'll look into getting the toddler one if he continues to enjoy being worn.

@scg00387: I had no idea they made extenders! That's a great option!

@mrsbird: Awesome chart! I wish I had known about that before I bought.

My DH likes to wear LO in a Britax carrier that I'm not fond of. I use the Ergo, but DH is a little hefty and the waist strap doesn't fit him. LO is 9 months and about 20lbs. Is there a carrier that you could recommend that would fit a bigger guy? He does not want to wear a wrap
