We have the mesh bjorn, and while I'm sure it keeps the baby cooler, I felt like I still had a big sweat circle where she sat against me - It wasn't significantly different wearing that or the traditional Ergo, and the Ergo was more comfortable in terms of weight distribution, so I stuck with that. I don't think the different carrier material will necessarily make a big difference.

All it has taken is two hot days to convince me I need a double stroller to move DD2 off of me! :)

One thing I've found is that wearing light synthetic materials (think gauzy blouses) is better than wearing cotton, because they dry so much faster. Granted, they may smell worse, but you won't be damp!

Boob brand shirts open with a flap under your boobs. I love them. They also make it so easy to nurse while baby wearing.

I had the same problem today, baby and I were a yucky mess by the time I got home. I think it might be time to pull out the stroller... Ugh

I got frogg toggs and cut them in half, then put one piece on the babies back and the other piece between us. ( I usually use a tula. ) It doesn't work perfectly because they're supposed to have air to circulate to keep the towels cool. A lot of people recommend to put them around the babies neck so the air can still get through them. It helps and is better than nothing, but isn't perfect.

I'm planning on getting an enduracool towel to put between me and LO when I wear him in warm weather. I see that and frog togg used a lot in the baby-wearing groups on Facebook.

I think lillebaby makes one that has a zip panel that can be removed in the front and it's made of mesh underneath so baby gets more air in there.

Lots of babywearing parents swear by frogtogg. Its a cooling towel.

Ergo makes a carrier called performance, i think it has the sports material you are looking for. There is also a water carrier which is like mesh (google it - I cannot think of the brand lots of parents use)

i've done the ergo with 2 dogs walk also! honestly i feel a little like superwoman and was kind of proud of myself (i don't do it now, LO got too heavy and i'm 6 months pregnant). i got a linen ring sling since LO #2 will be coming in July--linen's supposed to be fairly comfortable with the heat, although any babywearing is gonna be a little hot. i've also seen mesh ring slings for wearing in the water, but not sure those would be supportive enough for a walk.

After hoofing it back from the dogpark with LO in the Ergo in 80 degree weather (the looks you get wearing a baby and walking 2 dogs! you would have thought I had an elephant on a leash!) LO and I were a hot sweaty mess. She was happy but it's only going to get hotter. We also have a trip planned for July that will require a lot of babywearing. Tips?

I'd love to get a performance Ergo or something, but I know DH will hate that idea as that would be babywearing device #4 (moby, RS and regular Ergo). Any advice on other similar "performance" type SSCs? I might try and find one used somewhere so if I have more types to look for I might be more successful.

Do they make moisture wicking onsies? I know that sounds insane, but I'm envisioning a onsie made of the stuff exercise clothes are made of, so maybe atleast LO would not be sitting in a puddle of baby sweat!

Any really good nursing tanks you can wear alone? I have the undercovermama tanks I wear under everything, but I need to cut the double layers and they're not really something I can wear alone. I remember seeing some kind of tank that kind of opened at the boob rather than unlatching at the strap so you were more covered. Anyone know what I'm talking about?
