I loved the K'tan at the beginning, however I was fortunate that DH and I used the same size.

I vote ringsling! It takes a little but to learn how to adjust it like any other carrier but it's great once you get the hang of it. I started using it when my daughter was 1.5 weeks old and can still use it now at 8 months old. It's highly adjustable and versatile. I bought mine from SleepingBaby.

ETA: I bought the ringsling so I could wear my newborn while caring for our 2.5 year old toddler. Best decision ever.

@2littlepumpkins: I love Babywearing but I'm not much of a wrapper, so I think the Moby would intimidate me too!! A lot of people like the Maya ring slings. Well priced and easy to use.

@Foodnerd81: @sera_87: cool! I also have a ktan this time that I didn't have last time so I'll be trying that out as well. Moby worked last time but it was annoying to wrap and i sold it when lo1 was a couple months old.

@yellowbird: no infant insert. You just snap the front part smaller at the waistband.

@oliviaoblivia: I tried the ergo insert with dd as a newborn too and had no luck. I could never get her legs to look right.

THanks all for the suggestions! I'm going to look into all of them as the months go by. Right now I'm looking at the k'tan and ring slings as top contenders. Of course I'll probably end up switching when the baby gets here but I'd like to at least have some knowledge of how they all work ahead of time. :)

@yellowbird: I know you asked @renee: but just jumping in- I actually did not like my gemini for a newborn. C much preferred the snug feeling of the wrap and it was just more comfortable for both of us until she was about 4 months old. I know other people do it successfully but if you have a super snuggly baby they may not like it for a while.

I liked my woven and my ring sling with a newborn. The ergo insert never worked for us and I was between sizes for the ktan. The Moby was too thick. I'm picky.

One of my girls loved the ring sling as a newborn and the other loved the K'tan. The Gemini worked fine, but they seemed to prefer the tighter/higher positioning I could get with the others when they were tiny.

I was happy to have the moby because he could be upright after a feeding. I could never get good positioning in a ring. But I only really used the moby at home.

Try a ring sling! It takes a bit to get it but it's so much less bulky than the fabric of the moby. And it's nice to throw in the diaper bag. Once I got it (2 or so days of watching videos and practice) it totally clicked and my baby seems to be more "fooled" into thinking I am holding him. Plus I feel like it classes whatever I am wearing up.

I used the Boba wrap, though if you want to use it outside of the house you either have to put it on before you leave, or be good at it not dragging on the ground while putting it on.

What do you think? I only used the ergo for dd and not til she was older. We tried a friend's moby but it wasn't until dd was already six weeks and FUSSY and it was too intimidating.

Starting to think about how I will deal with two kiddos and thinking about giving babywearing a second try...
