A guys night out or inexpensive weekend away honoring the bachelor - sure. A big party or expensive trip - no way.

A guys night out sounds fine. A trip sounds fine too if his friends are ok with it!

I agree with the people saying a low key event would be fine but definitely not a huge, expensive party!

If he expects people to spend a ton of money on a crazy trip to Vegas or something I might be a little irritated. Otherwise I don't think it's a big deal. I'd just think of it as a guys' night out. I'm sure they all just want to use an excuse for fun night together so I don't see any harm :-)

@regberadaisy: I agree with this. If it's something fairly inexpensive for his friends, then by all means, have fun! But nothing extravagant a second time? Nope!

I say heck no!

Is the bride going to have another shower? Did they send all the gifts back and that sort of thing the first time?

He's basically having two (free for him) parties for the same wedding. Aren't bachelor parties expensive (my DH didn't have one)??

I agree with what others have said, as long as this isn't an all-out, super costly event, he should get to enjoy a night out/in to party with his friends.

Would it be acceptable if they just called it a guys night out? I think it's fine, as long as the guys are ok with footing the bill for the groom to be (again).

My husband is the best man for his friend's wedding and is looking forward to planning the bachelor party...

I kinda raised my brows because last year, his friend was previously engaged and they went all out for the bachelor party (dh was the best man)...shortly thereafter his friend and fiancée decided to call off the wedding...

Now, they are back together again and engaged (again)...not that I have a say or anything but should there be another bachelor party?
