I would definitely try legs out. You can safely do legs out in almost every carrier from birth (though I probably wouldn't in a SSC).

@BabyBoecksMom: doesn't hurt to try! i think we moved to the legs out position around that age and stopped using the knees-folded-froggy-position--i took out the pillow from the bottom of the newborn insert (which we used once because he was squished and didn't like it) and put it at the bottom so he had a little lift. other people use rolled up blankets or something like that. hope it gets better!

@edelweiss: she's 3 months now and I was still trying to put her in the newborn hold. Should I be using a new position?

how old is she? are you trying to put her in the same position that she liked before? i'm sorry about the reflux, maybe you're right and that has something to do with it.

Ok what am I doing wrong? DD2 has reflux, so that might be part of the problem...

But, when I try to put her in the Ergo or in the ring sling, she keeps stiffening up, arching her back and fussing which makes it impossible to get her in securely. She won't relax - she used to sit so sweetly in it. Does this mean she doesn't like it anymore? Is she uncomfortable?

I tried to get a picture but I couldn't safely get one.
