@blushink: agreed. I felt lucky that my water broke (and that contractions started without induction)

@Rosie Girl: I agree with the 'constant pain' description of back labour. I felt cheated, as everyone had talked about how labour pain is 'easier' than kidney pain because it comes and goes......my labour pain had no breaks because it was back labour.

I had back labor really bad, and it was almost like a constant pain. It really sucked and I actually think was that the worst part of my first birth!

@cvbee: having your water break is the easiest option (I wish my water broke) but alas 7 out of 10 women never experience their water breaking.

I had back labour and also had a really hard time telling when the contractions came and went, but it wasn't as much of an issue because my water broke first so I was already admitted.

Am I the only one who has back contractions?! Those things are so painful and not to mention hard to even calculate.

I never had to calculate them the first time around because I was induced and at the hospital when they started, but the nurse was never able to find the contractions on the monitor... duh they were in my back!

My back is killing me now... so i wonder if it's my contractions acting up again. how the heck am I suppose to time them. egh.
