Hugs!! Sleep deprivation is so hard! I'm right there with you - DD1 (2.5 yrs) is starting to come into our room 1-2x per night and DD2 is waking every 2-3 hours. What worked best for me was to let DD2 sleep in her swing - that usually gives me an extra hour or two of sleep. Even thought that's not much, it really helps when you're that tired.

Hugs!

I would wait until your LO is able to roll front to back to put him on his belly. I know for me, I wouldn't sleep as well worrying about him.

What about trying to put him on his side to sleep? At that age, DS was alternating between the rock n play, and arms reach co-sleeper for night sleep... and whenever he was in the arms reach co-sleeper we would put him on his side and use a rolled up receiving blanket to keep him there.

I feel for you. We did with our first (put him to sleep on his tummy), and purchased breathing monitors (AngelCare & Snuza) because we were also desperate for sleep. However, I still never slept all that great b/c I was always waking up and checking on him.

I have an almost 3 month old - and she sleeps pretty good, swaddled w/ white noise but if there is ever a night that she won't go back to sleep - I'll swaddle her and place her in the swing. Do you have a swing?

For me personally, I wasn't comfortable with this option. I couldn't sleep unless I felt confident I took all the precautions I could to keep LO safe.

What about moving LO into your room in a pack n play? Do you think he would sleep better if he was closer? It does make nursing a whole lot easier to just reach over and grab baby than to have to get up

LO is 3 mo and his sleep is terrible. his longest stretch of nighttime sleep has never been more than 3 hours and then he is up every 1 to 2 hours after that. last few days have been even worse and my 4 year old wakes me up at night too. the sleep deprivation is really taking a toll on me. would it really be that bad if i put LO to sleep on his stomach? a friend did this much earlier than three months old and her kids immediately slept better. he has good head control for his age but i know i'm supposed to put him down only on his back. i'm getting desperate. i already swaddle, use white noise, and made a crib nest. should i try puting him down on his tummy?
