@lemondrop: lol that's absolutely adorable!!

Yeah, I know I'm such a lucky mom. I don't view it as much of a chore though, I love those kids like they're my own, and I've been with them for 2.5 years. Honestly, because of that, I don't find it very difficult. They respect me a lot and are really well-behaved so it's not that intense.

That is fabulous to be able to be able to take your baby with you to work! There are plenty of moms out there with 3 kids, not easy, but I'm sure you will be able to make things work.

I'm allowed to bring my son to work meetings that we have on days that I don't work. Not worth getting a sitter for an hour or two on random days, plus they love to see him. So far the most he has done is random raspberry sounds from his blanket on the floor.

oh. my. gosh.

I am home now and LO is taking a quick nap - and I am exhausted! It didn't feel that tiring while I was there. But I just sat down and I feel like I could got sleep right now!

Goodness, this will take some getting used to!

I started back yesterday and my 7 week old comes to work with me, too. I work for my FIL's general contracting company, and he insisted that I bring him so that he didn't have to go to daycare yet. I'm not sure how I feel about it, but at least I don't have to worry about leaving the kiddo so soon. And it's been nice to have 2 other girls in the office watch him for me. I actually get to go to the bathroom by myself.

@Coco Bee: there's no way I could watch three kids ever! You have a talent!

nope, i'm a nanny. depending on where we're at when i get pregnant (i'd like to move to a better neighborhood), i may see if we can spend half the day at our home just to make things easier on me, but we'll cross that bridge when we get there =)

@artbee: I am so blessed, truly! And they're an amazing family with the same parenting philosophies as me!

Yeah, it's a lot of work- but only for 5 hours once a week until we feel more comfortable taking on more hours. And I've done it before lol

@Alivoo01: I did it at my nanny job before, I had 4 kids under 4! It was insane.

The hardest part is just that my son is still in more of the newborn stage, napping every 1.5 hours and taking more time/care. I think once he's crawling/a little more independent, it will get a little easier.

That's awesome you can bring your baby to work and earn money! However, taking care of 3 kids simultaneously seems like a lot of work. Good luck!

That's awesome! I'm sure you'll figure out ways to make it work. I wish I could bring my baby to work... but then again I would probably get nothing done. I'm actually doing a little work from home today even though I'm technically on maternity leave. I have the baby napping in her carseat while I rock it with my foot :-)

I was a nanny before having Cobi, and will continue to be a nanny even now. The awesome part is that I can take my baby to work with me and still make some money. It's only one day a week (for now) but I'm okay with that. They have a 5 yo girl and a 1 yo boy, and I have my 3 mos old. I've had two "trial runs" to make sure I could handle it and it went well! I missed them so much too, but it's still a little nerve wracking. There was one time the last time I was there that I had my son napping in the moby and the 1 yo was crying and I could hardly comfort him with my son in the way lol.

The biggest issue I'm trying to figure out is nap times, since Cobi sleeps on our bed for his naps, he's never slept anywhere else.

Anyone else bring their baby to work?
