I have and love the fisher price one, but I am trying to upgrade because I carry it to work! I have been eyeing these but can't decide.

We have the Fisher Price backpack diaper bag and even though there is a rip in the insulated bottle pocket, the bag has held up well for two years and is now on baby#2. I love having the wipes accessible without having to open the bag, it comes in handy in the car. One drawback is my daughter (2 years old) now realizes there is a dedicated pacifier pocket so she knows where to look when she wants one.

We use a camelbak hydration backpack. We bought it for hiking before kids and it's still lasting strong through three kids. It has mesh side pockets for bottles/zippy cups and two zip up compartments plus the hydration compartments, which we love because it kept our own water bottles cold. I don't see a similar bag on their website.

At the advice of a friend, I decided to go with a regular backpack as a diaper bag. I had a friend add more pockets to the inside. I'm still pregnant so I haven't had a chance to use it, but I think I'm going to like it a lot! I'm planning to use my Beco Gemini carrier, but I think it'll be a lot easier with a backpack than any other bag, even if it is a lot of straps!

We use a regular backpack and I LOVE it! We had an over the shoulder diaper bag when we had LO2 and it was so annoying. I felt like it would slide off my shoulder or was just too much work. We switched to a regular backpack with multiple compartments and it is perfect for when we are out. I love being completely hands free!

I use a regular backpack with a skip hop changing pad. There aren't a lot of compartments but I don't mind since we're often switching up what we have in there. I find I lose more things in my bags with more pockets.

@Astro Bee: You could consider one meant for hiking with chest clip. That's what we use pretty often and I really like it. I find there's plenty of room, if we are going to be outside for long periods I can easily stick a hydration pack in there so I don't have to worry about being out without water, there are lots of pockets for organization, and I can carry a ton of stuff without it hurting my back as much. We usually pack a lunch, cloth diapers for a full day, change of clothes, a woven wrap, first aid bag, camera, my phone, and other incidental stuff.

Has anyone with narrow shoulders bought one? I'd tried on a few at the store, including the Petunia Pickle Bottom Boxy, but found they slipped off my shoulders too easily. Maybe one they're weighted down a little they'd be more stable?
