We have the Lifetime dome and swing. My 6.5 and 4.5 year old love it and will spend a long time out there climbing/swinging, and rigging forts with jump ropes and tarps. DD2 could immediately climb to the top when we got it, fwiw, and she was newly 4. The newly-2 year old likes running in and out but can’t climb it yet.

This was given to our girls for their birthdays last winter and just set up. It's HUGE! And so study that several grown ups can climb up on it at the same time (I think weight limit is like 600 lbs). My 4.5 avg sized girl can only make it to the 1st "level", and my small 2.5 year old can't even get yet. But they love it! Climbing, swinging from bars, pretending they're camping inside the dome, etc.

Besides swingset, we also have playhouse plus water/sand tables.

Another one for the Lifetime climbing dome. We're just in the middle of putting it together (got distracted a lot yesterday :) ) but the kids are so excited. I also got a little tykes swing to hang from the middle.

We also have a trampoline but I know that's not something everyone wants. We do have the bounce house but keep that inside for the basement to help in the winter months.

We got the Lifetime dome climber too and it’s definitely a hit with my almost 6 yo. She climbs up, hangs upsidedown, does tricks. My 2 yo holds the lower bars and swings. Both of them like to go in the middle with a beach ball, kick it and watch it ricochet everywhere.

We have a Little Tykes bounce house that’s fantastic. It takes up a fair amount of room but it’s easy to fold and put away after. My 7 and 9 year old Goddaughters have as much fun on it as my 3 and 5 year old boys.

@JennyPenny: We have that dome climber and LOVE it! LOs are 4.5 and 2 right now, but I can see it having a lot more life (plus we have one more LO on the way). We also have a nice cedar playhouse that the kids use a lot. And also a galvonized bucket/trough thingy with a bunch of rocks in it and some trucks/shovels for play.

We got this dome climber a month ago and and my 4 year old loves it! I have no fear of him growing out of it anytime soon. Lifetime Geometric Dome Climber Play Center, Earthtone https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004K0Q8LG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_qwd9CbAPZ9DAG

We also DIYed a playhouse like this one and it’s been really nice too. It gives them a space to be less active but still stay outside. https://www.thehandmadehome.net/a-handmade-hideaway/

Mini trampoline, swing hanging from eaves of house, play house and mud kitchen. That's what we have for our sensory seekers, all in a very small space. This is a panorama of everything but the trampoline.

@Foodnerd81: if you get anything come back and update! We have the space issue too. We have a smallish plastic climber playset but they’re too big for it now and the slide is too steep to be fun. My kids are 7, 4 and 9m so same issues with everything being too small (or too giant for our yard)!

@gotkimchi: exactly- I want something my 3 year old can use some this summer, but that the 6 year old will be able to use for a few more years. We have almost 8 year old neighbors so i try to picture them on whatever I get.

I’ve been looking for a climbing dome or teeter totter or something for outside as well and I guess my concern is the size - like a lot of it seems like it might be good or sized for a 2-4 yo but I’m worried about bigger kids being able to enjoy it - like if you look at the Amazon reviews for the first one the sizing just seems like it might be outgrown quickky

We don’t really have enough flat space for a full swing set structure in our backyard, but we are trying to think of another big-ish type of toy we could put in the backyard for our kids. They are 3.5 and almost 6 years old. I was thinking maybe a climbing dome? What do you have in your backyard that gets a lot of use, gives the kids something active to do get that sensory input, without giving you a heart attack that someone will break their neck?

I thought maybe something like these:
Kids Dome Climber Play Structures - Multiple Kids Jungle Gym Climbing Structure, Activity Center, Outdoor & Indoor Playground, Monkey Bars Climbing Tower - Age 3 - 10 Play Sets - 55 inches Mat https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07HGJBVW6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_5A88Cb32BX6WX

Or this looks cool but too small for my kids:
Wooden Playgrounds Babywood Home Gymnastic, Wood Indoor Jungle Gym Sets, Climbing Kids, Indoor Children Playground, Baby Play Area Complete with Climbing Ladder Slide Rings & Swing, Sport https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07NL81H95/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_bC88CbQ7DRB11
