Right now K goes part-time and this is what it's like -

Wake up between 6:30-7 (sometimes earlier..)

First nap at like 10:30 and will nap 40-50 min

Take 2nd nap at home, usually naps till 3:30-4.

Then we go to bed between 7:30-8:30

I am actually not sure if her night sleep is worse when following daycare days or not.. I should look back at my records!

@littleblessings: He can't get really long naps in because in the mornings the kids are playing in the room. I think sometimes they can get the non sleeping kids to the big room, but not often. He's also used to a dark room with white noise!

@sapphire: @FaithFertility: He has been in daycare for a couple of weeks consistently now. He's only there for about 4 hours as i am not back to work yet.

Sorry, DD napped awful for awhile at her sitters! She still will skip her morning nap time to time!
It doesn't really seem to mess with her night sleep but if it did I would ask daycare to try to maybe keep her asleep (move pnp into a different room...etc
If LO just started maybe wait it out a bit more!
On a good day DD is almost 10 months and naps 45 in morning and 1-1.30 in afternoon

My LO is a terrible napper but still sleeps long stretches at night without wake ups. She sleeps the same at night whether she napped or not...but she has been I daycare for a few months so I think she just learned to sleep more at night to make up for it.
How long has LO been at daycare? Might need longer to adjust.

No day care experience but when I was working the babysitter never had my kids take naps. They would be asleep when I picked them up and then wake up an hour after we got home ready to party. I had to talk to the sitter about making sure they got a couple hour naps each. Once they started napping they would sleep through the night again. Could you talk to the day care about your concerns?

DS is 10.5 months old and has recently been transitioning to daycare. He takes a morning nap for 45 minutes, and his afternoon nap will only range from 45-90 minutes after we come home. It's obviously less than what he needs during the day.

I feel like him napping less than 2 hours a day has been hurting his night sleep. He has been waking up multiple times at night, and hard to settle. Has anyone else gone through this? Will it get better?

ETA: i've tried to move up his bedtime, but i can't seem to get him to bed any earlier than 6pm. he should probably go to bed at 5-5:30.
