My LO's brain MRI was NORMAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!</p> <p>I am so so happy. Thank you all so much for your support. We're still watching her to see how she develops. She's a bit behind in her milestones, but that is very likely to be due to her visual and hearing impairments, rather than a cognitive problem. And her vision seems to have improved a lot since I posted this. She's six months now, and looks at everything. And I'm just so happy I could cry. I thought for sure they would find something abnormal about her brain. But they didn't! I am an audiologist and diagnose and treat hearing loss all day, every day. I work primarily with adults now but have worked with kids some in the past. I will tell you - hearing loss is generally really treatable and managable when diagnosed early (and it was - hooray!) and it will not hold your daughter back in any way. She's going to be great.
