I realize that not everyone has that kind of flexibility, but as long as I don't have any deadlines, meetings, or phone conferences, I just pack it up and head to the house (although I rarely do this - this is typically reserved for those days where I am just hating the work and am not being productive.)</p> <p>Otherwise I get a drink/snack, close my door, play some tunes, and just try to find a happy place for 20 minutes or so. Then I make a small to-do list and once I have completed it, consider the day a success and close up shop.
