I was baptised when I was 12 YO so I certainly don't think 8 months is too late!

I'm in the "never too late" camp, too. All of our family is out of state/country, so we didn't get around to it until LO was 7 months old. I thought she would be squirmier/feistier, but she was wonderful! The other worry we had was whether she would fit into our family heirloom gown.

Honestly, I don't think it's ever too late. I was baptized at 16 months. My parents took my sister to be baptized when she was around the same age, and the pastor told my parents she was going to hell because they'd waited so long. My dad walked out of the church and never went back. So at 15 years old, she asked to be baptized.

We had LO Christened at 3.5 months. Hopefully they can do the ceremony at the beginning of the Church service and not the end. By the time the Christening ceremony rolled around an hour after the service began, LO was mighty feisty.

DD was 6 weeks and DS was 8 weeks when they were baptized. I don't think 8 months is late at all! In our baptism prep class, there were two families with toddlers, so I think a lot of families end up baptizing after infancy for various reasons.

I think it's fine, as long as you are comfortable with it (some people are nervous about waiting too long). My godson was 4 months and change, due to travel and time issues.

How old was your LO when they were baptized?

Due to godparents being out of state and some classes we need to take, we will be doing DS' at 8 months old... is this too late?
