I was worried it might be a bit harder to set up food and drink there though. I had hoped I would be able to set out all the food etc before we left for church and then come back here straight after as we live really close to the church (like a 1 minute walk). </p> <p>I feel really ridiculous thinking about this now! Lots of people delay and choose not to vaccinate and their LO's go out and meet people. Really, both kids slept through the majority of the before and after so they didn't get passed around too much. LO mostly slept through it! If you don't want people touching the baby, you might wear your LO in a sling. Most of my family do not live in the same country as us and will be travelling after the birth to meet LO during the first few months. Ideally it would be nice if they could attend the baptism too. </p> <p>Asides from the sheer optimism of actually having the energy to host a baptism so soon after birth, do you think its irresponsible to have the baptism before baby's 2 month vaccinations? </p> <p>There would be at least 50 people there and obviously a lot of people would be interested in meeting the LO. </p> <p>For a number of reasons the baptism has to be done early and it must be done before 6 months.. So even if we do not do it before the vaccinations it will need to be done early. </p> <p>Did any of you take your LO to events where there were lots of people potentially touching them before they received their 2 month vaccines? </p> <p>Many thanks! </p>
