There are rough and tumble dive bars and there are high-end bars. There are honky-tonk bars and jazz clubs/bars. </p> <p>At the end of the day, bars serve drinks and most also serve food. The bars are small and nestled within a neighborhood. The drinks were cheap, but the atmosphere is kind of depressing filled with people who look like they had a rough day or live at the bar.</p> <p>Blue Martini is now my "bar." There is an actual bar, but I get table service and order food too. People dress nice and the nights I go there's always a live cover band. I've been to World of Beer once and this is similar to Blue Martini in terms of people wanting to dress up &amp; go out. </p> <p>Hotel bars are chill and quiet except for maybe a TV tuned to a sports game. The drinks are just okay and overpriced. </p> <p>My advice...<br /> 1) know what you want to drink before you go<br /> 2) if there are drink specials look through those, but have #1 as a back up<br /> 3) if people are loud and obnoxious ignore them or move...no need to get in a battle of stank faces or worse exchange words &amp; fists<br /> 4) drink from a straw or stirrer<br /> 5) go to the bathroom before you get there<br /> 6) eat before you go<br /> 7) if you get a bad vibe or just uncomfortable ie smoke filled room, just go. People talk, listen to the music, dance (usually in a pretty goofy way since they're drinking), and eat crappy bar food. Sometimes girls would try to flirt or buy the band drinks, at which point they would be like, "Hey sorry but we're actually all married!"
