It literally has one switch (“on/off”) and an insulated carafe. That’s it. BUT it gets the water super hot, aka the perfect temp for perfect coffee. But we ended up getting rid of it because we are in an apt and having a single serve and a regular coffee maker just didn’t make sense and my husband chose the single serve.<br /> We are moving to a house end of June and I’m SO excited to have a real coffee maker again. I like our Nespresso but nothing compares to a traditional brewed pot of coffee. I hate grinding coffee, and its always better when its fresh ground. It has an option for programmable brewing so we can put the water and coffee grounds in at night and it will automatically turn on and brew in the AM. The only annoying part is that it beeps when it's done brewing which I don't always want to hear so early lol. I don't know if all models do this and it probably wouldn't bother most people but I thought I'd mention it since I didn't expect it when we purchased ours.</p> <p>It's similar to this, but not quite. We actually got it for our wedding 11 years ago, and put it in storage for 5 years until we had a kitchen that would fit a coffee maker (we used a french press for years). I already have a newish Nespresso for single cups. So I don’t want another single cup or combo machine. Just a basic brewed pot of coffee.<br /> I don’t feel super strongly about the glass vs insulated carafe, but probably prefer insulated? </p> <p>Ideally around $100 but have some wiggle room if you can sing it’s praises. </p>
