when she was little - sink

Now - Towel or non slip mat on the tub.

I like the laundry basket idea

We did the tub/towel combo, too. No need to drag the giant tub with us!

For some reason my lo hates baths in strange places. Once we brought her tub and all of her bath toys and she still refused to get in. She screamed and clutched to me like I was trying to put her in acid. So if it's a one nighter we skip bath. If it's longer ill take her in the shower with me. She doesn't like that either, but it's much easier because I'm holding her so I have some control.

Or I just asked this on FB and a friend mentioned that she bought a plastic laundry basket and put a towel on the bottom and then filled the big tub and put her LO in the basket. Has anyone tried this?

@edelweiss: Consider me your beta tester. It works and is a fraction of the cost. Just put a hand towel behind baby for confort and one lining the bottom for tush cushion. Viola!

@autumn865: At 9 months, I was bathing with M. We would run a low tub and I would hop in with her. That way, I could support her if she toppled and I felt comfortable with her in the water. Maybe try that instead of taking a big ol' tub with you?

We're going on vacation this week to Disney and I'm debating bringing the inflatable tub or not. I may just sit her on a hand towel and move quickly haha!

@NaturallyCathy: that's a great idea, since they sell those special baby bucket tubs for $40 or something, but a regular bucket would probably do just as well!

@edelweiss: This may sound odd but if you're in a crunch and don't have a water slimg when you need it, go out and buy a bucket. Depending on a kid's size, could be great - no place to slip from since the sides are so close to LO, less likely to have too much water, and fairly easy to find short notice!

we're going to my sister's place in the summer and plan on using the kitchen sink. if i weren't comfortable doing that, i would put LO in the bathtub (and have me or my husband get in there with him for support), or if no bathtub, buy a water mesh sling and take a shower with LO.

Kitchen sink! But maybe it's a Southern thing. I still give my son (15 months) baths in the kitchen sink when we're on a time crunch.

We will be spending a long weekend at DH's parents beach house for Memorial Day and was wondering what we should do for bath time. My LO is almost 9 months and uses her bath chair in her baby bath. Should we bring the whole baby bath? What do you do when traveling?
