I just bathe Liv in the regular tub now, and shes 10.5 months. She sometimes stands to tell me shes done, but sometimes just for the heck of it. I use that time to wash her bum and "area" then sit her back down and occupy her with a toy. I dont have a mat or anything in there, though I should probably get one. She likes to swim around on her belly. Kid loves the water.

I have the same one as @Chopsuey and LO always stands up...Just because she wants to...I have to work hard to entertain her enough with bath toys to get her cleaned up. She's also 10 months old so I know how crazy it can get. I just drape her bath towel over me, let her stand and lean up against me while I finish washing her down.

I would switch to the regular tub with a non-slip bath mat. We use this toy (http://www.amazon.com/Fisher-Price-Little-People-Splash-Scoop/dp/B005XVCT8W/ref=sr_1_1?s=baby-products&ie=UTF8&qid=1339630082&sr=1-1) to keep my son seated and occupied.

We just bathe her in the bath tub (with non slip cover) now with her older brother. She does stand up during her bath but I don't mind it because I find that it's easier to clean her when she's standing.

We have a little mini tub that we put inside the tub. It is the kind that grows with her. First it had an infant seat, but we took that out and shes in the mini tub, and when shes ready for the big tub her thing becomes a kneeling pad for me.

The only time she stands up and climbs is if I forget to give her toys right away. Does he have toys he loves for the bath?

I would just do bath with non slip mats. Some of those chairs make it hard to clean the bum area. If my boys stood up repeatedly I just finished quickly then ended bath time. Eventually they learned.

DS is 9 months old and we just bathe him in the regular bath tub. He will sometimes stand up before bath time is over. I usually just utilize that time to bathe him and then I'll sit him back down in the tub.

we have this. I found that giving my LO toys will keep her preoccupied in the bath!

Two Qs for you guys (possibly related)... Right now we bathe him in a Primo bathtub, placed in the tub itself. (We live in NYC so not many other options...) (http://www.amazon.com/Primo-340W-EuroBath-Pearl-White/dp/B000056OV0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1339617500&sr=8-1)

a) My 10-month old has started to stand up and try to climb out of the bath, even though he otherwise seems to really enjoy it. I usually understand this to mean "end of bath, Mom!" The Q is, has anyone found a way to stop this?

b) This might also be a sign that he's outgrowing his current bathtub (the Primo). What do people buy as the baby's next bathtub? A bathing seat? Just the regular tub with a no-slip mat?

Thanks in advance!
