Get a new bathrobe? There are belted ones that look more like a dress and are pretty cute. I had one for years, can't remember the brand now but I think it was bought at Macy's.

@jennlin821: haha. I LOVE my bathrobe. I wear it constantly. I think my husband sees me in that more than regular clothes, especially during the week!

For the winter I have an large, thigh-length cardigan sweater (similar to a bathrobe) that I'll sometimes wear instead... that could probably cover most of you.

I really like these dresses and they do go on sale, not sure if they would be warm enough though.

What if you went with a loose, cheap-ish dress? Maybe something like this, up one size from your usual so you can throw it on over your clothes: https://www.amazon.com/EMVANV-Swing-Dress-Sleeve-Flannel/dp/B078NP26HK?ref_=fsclp_pl_dp_13

A little more stylish than a robe, but gets the job done!

I have basically this. I found mine at goodwill, this is a poshmark listing. It is as warm as a sweatshirt, and made from sweatshirt material, but it looks nice because it is a cardigan cut. You could add buttons/belt/snaps to it. It does have pockets for a phone. It is not as frumpy as a robe but definitely not dressy.

I don't know about warmth, but a cotton kimono? https://www.amazon.com/Cotton-Kimono-Robe-Womens-Bathrobe/dp/B00KWBK93K

Or you could go full-on 80's housecoat style. https://www.amazon.com/Womens-Seersucker-Embroidered-Lounger-X-Large/dp/B01N7WAWXZ/ref=sr_1_22?dchild=1&keywords=cotton+housecoat+for+women&psc=1&qid=1570812093&s=apparel&sr=1-22

@Madison43: I love the idea of a duster, but I really need something that closes in the front, to protect my work clothes from make-up dust and toddler fingers!

But it maybe worth getting to wear on the weekends :)

@jennlin821: what about just a duster style cardigan? Same concept as a bathrobe but less pajama-y.

I found this at old navy but Nordstrom also has a lot of choices.

Following because I need something too. I wear my robe (a lightweight waffle weave) all the time for the same reasons. We are in FL so I can't do anything that's actually 'warm' but we do keep the AC low so it's nice to have the layer, even if it's light. DH calls it my 'cloak' or my 'house uniform' :silly:

I just want my clothes protected from baby spit up and food, a pocket for my phone, and to have that comfy layer.

I wear a bathrobe at home nearly all the time.

I get dressed in the morning and put it back on so that DD doesn't get her sticky breakfast hands on my work clothes.

I get home, and throw the bathrobe on,
-to protect my clothes
-to have a pocket for my phone (many of my suits/dresses don't have pockets)
-to stay warm (we keep the house very cool)

My bathrobe is warm and fuzzy and very functional, but also frumpy.... to quote my husband quoting A Christmas Carol " You look like a pink nightmare!"

So what can I use instead? I'm looking for a warm butt/knee length something with a pocket, that doesn't make me look like a frump that didn't get dressed this morning.

What I really like is an old fashioned fancy housecoat, (the kind that look like dresses, not potato sacks, but all the vintage ones are very expensive - which defeats the purpose of something that can get dirty and be thrown in the wash)
